This ad always make me laugh. Why? Well, this came out after Shopsmith settled the fair trade lawsuit with the "cloners" and among the things that resells such as Master Woodcraft had to do was to make modifications to their machine's legs. This ad shows the same pre-mod machine photo that they'd been using in their ads for years, but someone simply added white boxes and colored the lower base tubes black in order to simulate the appearance of the newly modified and compliant product. You can also note the new motor label that disclosed the country of origin as Taiwan.
